SUMMARY
WELL Health is seeking a driven Director of Strategy to identify and execute growth opportunities in our company. You will be on our Operations team, and report into our SVP, Finance and Operations. As the Director of Strategy, you will evaluate market trends, collect competitive intelligence, analyze current and potential revenue engines, and rank opportunities for growth. You will leverage strategic frameworks to develop a plan in collaboration with leadership and consistently challenge that plan with refreshed analysis from market research and company performance.
To ensure success, you will have a clear understanding of your role, be focused on planning and growth objectives, and provide recommendations on which markets to target based on thorough analysis and sound judgement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vigorously conduct research to identify all potential markets for growth, including addressable & obtainable market size, competition, pricing, regulations and risks.
- Analyze all current, adjacent, and emerging market dynamics, trends, share changes, product SKU performance, and competitive intelligence against company growth engines.
- Prioritize and recommend at-the-ready WELL’s next growth opportunity by creating and maintaining a strategic framework to stack rank growth engines, target markets, and WELL’s unfair advantage.
- Lead the development of the strategic plan and phased testing / execution by collaborating with the executive leadership team, board, and senior leaders.
- Ensure suitable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress against the strategic plan.
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop a capital plan in line with the strategy.
- Collaborate with the CPO to develop a product roadmap in line with the strategy.
- Collaborate with leadership, special committees, and consultants to execute strategies.
- Communicate strategy effectively throughout the company.
REQUIREMENTS
- MBA or advanced degree in marketing / business development.
- 5+ years of strategic experience in a similar environment, management consulting, or investment banking.
- Experience influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
- Possesses strong strategic thinking skills and thought leadership when engaging executives.
- Experience leading and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives for growth to large organizations.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent people skills.
- Available to travel.
BONUS
- Experience with B2B SaaS (w/ 6+ mo sales cycles)
- Experience with High ACV sales (enterprise, mid-market)
- Healthcare experience or experience in an other highly regulated industry
LOCATION
WELL is headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and to prioritize the health of our employees, all WELL positions are temporarily remote. We are looking forward to when our company returns to in-office work. For this role, we are open to candidates that would be willing to relocate to Santa Barbara once we return to in-office work.
