Overall responsibilities:

This is a highly visible role, reporting directly to the Co-Founder & Chief Growth Officer of the company and working closely with the rest of the executive team. This role is a data-driven person’s dream, with billions of data points to analyze and derive strategic recommendations from. This person will be driving actionable and tangible recommendations on:
- The company’s investment in data and analytics projects
- Internal operational improvements
- How the company can leverage its data to provide something no one else in the market does.

Responsibilities:

• Build internal (big) data products that provide step functions in understanding for analysts, executives, and strategic decision makers.

• Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of client data to see beyond the numbers and understand how business users interact with their products and services.

• Work closely across functional teams to generate actionable business insights

• Influence key stakeholders to implement process improvements and strategic changes and track their performance

• Help key stakeholders understand predictive trends that they need to focus on vs. noise that they can deprioritize

• Partner with Product, Sales, Finance and the Executive team to solve problems at scale and identify trends and opportunities for the company.

• Define new reporting that leads to lasting business improvements
  

Required Skills:

• Have a strong management consulting background (2 to 5 years of experience)

• Ability to communicate the results of analyses with product and leadership teams ?

• Influential in identifying and addressing business improvements ?and can structure frameworks and kick off an action plan

• Experience leading and building a team

• Understanding of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions)?

• High EQ?

• Familiarity with SQL

• Understanding of R or other modeling language

• Experience creating data models with Hadoop and Hive

• Experience with Google Analytics

• Strong Knowledge of SaaS preferred
