Acorns is seeking an experienced Dir, Product Management to guide a new products from conception to launch. This candidate will support the development of product vision and strategy best fit to serve the business and Acorns’ vision. This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Job Description:

  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative new products and features
  • Research and understand customer requirements, competitive offerings, operational impacts, regulations and other industry constraints
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and roadmaps
  • Create and own specs and user stories
  • Work closely with design and engineering teams to release features across multiple platforms
  • Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision-making and measure success
  • Conduct user research and lightweight tests to scope and prioritize product initiatives
  • Manage the daily workflow with a team of engineers and designers. Do whatever your team needs to help them keep moving
  • Represent your team in communication with product, engineering, and marketing teams

Job Requirements:

  • 5-7 years experience in product management, product design or equivalent consulting experience
  • Significant experience in a leadership capacity motivating and managing a team
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complex requirements and turn them into a prioritized roadmap with clear objectives
  • Knowledge of Agile software development process
  • Highly effective judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Able to conceptualize, manage and prioritize multiple projects for stakeholders
  • Detail-orientated with superior organizational skills
  • Previous experience shipping and iterating on successful products
  • Previous startup experience
  • Logical, conceptual and analytical thinker
