Associate Product Manager

An Associate Product Manager at Sidebench is an entry-level position, usually reporting to a Director of Product. This is often a mentorship position and the start of a product manager's career where you’ll be supporting larger products and in some cases leading smaller engagements.
An Associate PM has the opportunity to learn from senior product leadership and form a strong foundation on product management. They will gain an understanding of design and development of new products. The responsibilities of an Associate Product Manager include supporting UI/UX designs, defining new ideas and features, analyzing data, and constantly looking for new ways to improve the product. Associate PMs will also often manage the SCRUM activities and ceremonies associated with a product and will help in the creation of PRDs, User Stories, and other artifacts associated with successfully managing a product.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product Managers and Engineers to assist with discovery, documentation, feature development and bug tracking
- Prepare presentation materials to highlight design and development initiatives with internal stakeholders and client partners
- Lead some of the agile/scrum ceremonies and create release notes and client communications
- Team up with the Head of Product and Product Managers on building and launching various products
- Coordinate releases and task reviews with the engineering and QA teams
- Lead user testing initiatives to collect data and propose improvements to key aspects of the business
- Conduct research to identify customer and stakeholder needs and requirements
- Work with QA to troubleshoot and investigate issues and bugs
- Build competitive analysis frameworks to ensure our products can deliver unique value propositions
- Analyze funnels, KPIs, improvements and trends to share them with team members
- Sync with design to translate product requirements from relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
- Relevant coursework or work/internship experience in product, data, operations, or analyst related positions
- Comfortable leading a team of designers and engineers with the ability to ask the right questions at the right time
- Familiar with what an agile/scrum environment is and have experience using data visualization tools
- An endlessly curious personality with a bias toward action
- Strong communication skills and constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
