Responsibilities:

• Configure, monitor and support existing physical and virtual Windows infrastructure
• Build and install new server infrastructure as needed
• Maintain existing onsite Active Directory and supporting components
• Maintain production-level up-time for physical and virtual infrastructure
• Investigate production outages, and help determine root causes / implement fixes
• Make recommendations and implement changes to improve system performance
• Develop and maintain documentation for system and platform architecture
• Document and report problems for coordination with vendor support requests
• Participate in an on-call rotation on a weekly basis
• Maintain a customer-focused service attitude and work ethic
• Coordination with the rest of the IT department on projects

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer
• Experience with Windows Servers
• Experience with Virtualization technologies (VMWare ESXi and vCenter)
• Experience with SQL Server 2016 or newer
• Experience with Exchange Server and O365 Exchange Administration
• Experience with Azure and AWS
• Experience with Backup Technologies and Disaster Recovery
• Experienced in networking fundamentals, preferred
• A competency in verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Linux-based systems and infrastructure
• Experience writing user-focused documentation and self-service articles
• Scripting experience with languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python
