While our headquarters is located in Los Angeles, we are open to hiring remotely for this role, within the United States.


The frontline support engineer is the interface point between the customer success team and the engineering team. This engineer, with the support of the Flowspace engineering team, triages issues and executes tasks required by customer success to quickly serve customer needs.


When issues are identified, this engineer will triage, fix, or escalate to higher levels of engineering support. When product gaps are apparent, this engineer will document the gaps and assist the Product team in gathering the necessary context to understand the scope of the problem. Where product gaps or bugs lead to the requirement for manual action or workarounds, this engineer will help resolve the immediate issue.


What You’ll Do:

  • Execute merchant and warehouse maintenance tasks as required by internal teams
  • Document bugs identified by customers and operations team
  • Maintain Support Engineering team documentation and playbooks
  • Triage bugs and escalate to responsible engineering teams
  • Identify application bugs, root causes, and work-aroundsIdentify product gaps that prevent customers and operations team from performing necessary tasks unassisted along with the context of size and scope of customers affected
  • Fix bugs and implement features with the guidance of other team members
  • Approximately 20% of time will be spent on application development, 80% in supporting work
  • Partner with customer success team to identify the most pressing, recurring issues
  • Advocate for fixes and features that will reduce the support load for both engineering and customer success

Who We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of applicable experience
  • Experience with researching and identifying operational problems through various teams, offering solutions / completing troubleshooting procedures
  • Bootcamp graduate or associates degree in computing field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once
  • Experience using Ruby on Rails

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in the logistics industry
  • Experience in customer service or sales

Other Helpful Things To Know:

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Operational hours are 9am-5pm Pacific
  • 24/7 on-call availability for urgent issues
