Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a senior System Administrator (Level 4) for El Segundo, CA on 1st shift. The selected candidate will work for this dynamic Boeing program, you will join a highly collaborative, close-knit multi-disciplinary team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain classified systems, network, secure voice, and video teleconferencing in WGS Telemetry Room (WTR)
- Maintain software patches and system accreditations
- Lead lab/system audits, as determined by government customers
- Conduct weekly status meeting with stakeholders
- Support other functional team members and meetings on program
- Support users of the WTR during normal operations and as needed during spacecraft anomaly investigations (RCCA)
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment to support System and SW build content release.
- Utilize excellent teamwork and written/oral English communications skills
This position requires ability to obtain SSBI; assignment will need DoD Secret clearance with SSBI investigation (post-start). US Citizenship required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in System Admin of large and complex Lab with SW and/or IT background. Environment includes: Linux, Windows 7+, and Windows Server 2012+ OS, domain controllers, multi-factor authentication and Cisco networking.
- Security + certified
- Cisco CCNA
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
