Senior IT Systems Engineer
We are looking for an experienced IT Engineer who will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of critical information technology activities in FloQast. As a Sr. IT System Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the core IT applications and troubleshooting complex technical issues. The ideal candidate will also be focused on implementing IT security controls, compliance requirements and increasing IT efficiency through automation initiatives. This is a highly-visible role who will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Security, Compliance and Legal.
Los Angeles, CA based candidates are preferred but we are open to US based remote candidate applications.

Responsibilities Include:
- Provide architectural, engineering, and operational support for all FloQast managed end-user systems
- Configure and implement security controls on IT managed system applications
- Day-to-day monitoring and troubleshooting of complex software issues on critical IT cloud-based tools
- Troubleshoot critical IT system application vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies
- Work closely with Security, Compliance, Legal and other business units to enforce and promote effective IT security policies and procedures on all end-user systems
- Partner with Security to design, deliver and support system performance, patching and configuration compliance
- Partner with Compliance to ensure appropriate processes and tools are in place to enforce a variety of IT controls, and provide evidence of control effectiveness as needed for auditing purposes
- Design, build, deploy and maintain automation of routine IT tasks on existing tools and processes
- Help maintain the necessary documentation of all IT system projects, policies and procedures
- Assist in reviewing current IT tools and in identifying any new software/hardware to meet business needs
- Be the subject matter expert in representing IT to other technical teams on cross-functional system projects
- Provide cross-functional training for other system administrators within the IT team
Qualifications:
- B.S. Computer Science, MIS or equivalent educational background
- At least 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying and troubleshooting information technology systems
- Extensive technical knowledge on IT infrastructure, network and multiple operating systems (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android)
- Expert-level experience in supporting and troubleshooting cloud application systems such as G Suite, Slack, Okta and Zoom
- Solid experience in the practical applications of ITIL framework
- End-user onboarding and offboarding process automation experience required
- Expert-level experience managing enterprise authentication systems (SSO, Active Directory, Okta, Duo)
- Strong familiarity on IT security, enterprise firewalls, endpoint security, identity management, web and email security, server application
- Scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, C# or SQL and good understanding of REST APIs
- Familiarity with TCP/IP services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, GPO, SSH, LDAP, SSO (SAML & Oauth) and SCIM provisioning workflows
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with natural ability to root cause incidents
- Ability to identify incident trends and vulnerabilities for timely resolution and escalation
- Demonstrate ability to show initiatives to drive progress and improvements
- Great communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders and leadership teams
- Start-up or hyper-growth company experience preferred
