To do so, the successful candidate must apply their understanding of client technology, business objectives, and product strategy in the context of both domestic and international IP law.This position reports to the Senior Manager, ET&T of Boeing Intellectual Property.Position Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, and seek appropriate protection for innovation of value to the enterpriseManage patent preparation and prosecution by domestic and foreign outside counselUnderstand client business objectives, technology needs, competitive landscape, and market opportunitiesProvide strategic IP support and guidance to assist clients with technology planning and transactionsSupport licensing and enforcement efforts, litigation defense, and portfolio reviewsEducate clients and inventor communities on all aspects of IPThis position allows telecommuting. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryRegistered to practice before the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office)Experience in protecting innovation in the fields of autonomous systems and air mobility.9+ years of patent prosecution experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree in aerospace, aeronautical or astronautical engineering or related fieldAdvanced degree (Master's or PhD)Outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsExperience managing complex projects and a large volume of matters, meet deadlines, and prioritize as neededExcellent business judgment and strategic thinkingTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
