Summary:

It's a once in a lifetime opportunity – being part of the US team responsible for developing and implementing media campaigns for Facebook (e.g. Facebook Groups, Instagram, Oculus, WhatsApp, etc.). You will take part in strategy, planning, and operations for Mindshare's US dedicated Facebook team located at Mindshare Los Angeles.

With 116 offices across 86 different countries, each Mindshare office is unique. While this role is based in Los Angeles, it works closely with the Facebook Global teams in Portland and San Francisco. Irrespective of office, we're all bound by a few things that remain important: strategic vision, an understanding of the fundamentals, an eye for innovation, curiosity, and passion.

We collaborate extremely closely with our agency partners, media or creative – in fact a vast majority of all our successes have come from our strong partnerships. And in this case, it's especially true – with much of the creative being done in-house, and a wealth of information and intelligence coming directly from the client.

We were appointed to the global Facebook account in 2014 and have grown quickly ever since. The US market is the largest market in the Facebook portfolio and it continues to grow – in this position, you will be fully dedicated to the brand, building both your skills as well as supporting one of the most high profile brands in the world.

Reporting structure:

The Manager will report into an Associate Director and Director.

Department – Planning:

The Planning team at Mindshare are part psychologists, part scientists, part artists, part entrepreneurs, and part politicians. We strategize how brands should communicate with people across the myriad of media channels, and how to do that differently from every other brand.

The Role

As a Manager working on Facebook, you'll get a chance to work on one of the most important, high profile businesses at Mindshare. Your role within this team will be to support day to day operations, communication, and delivery of media plans for the Facebook Blue App, Messenger and Messenger Kids business units.

Occasionally, the US team will step in to support Global campaign requests as well. While you will not be required to develop plans for other countries, you may have the opportunity to partner with some of our 115 other offices across the globe to support campaign planning for your Business Division.

Facebook is truly the sum of its parts – from the Blue App itself, to Instagram and WhatsApp and Oculus, the company collectively is connecting the world in ways never done before. On the Blue App team, you'll be at the forefront of some of Facebook's most high profile and exciting executions. In addition, you'll also be responsible for a range of exciting products & apps including: Facebook Dating, Marketplace, Groups, Events, Fundraising and more!

The Person

Ultimately, we need someone who gets how media strategy works and can manage the process from start to finish. We need somebody that's digitally fluent but not myopic – the right person will get how digital media fits into a broader communications framework and will be equally comfortable talking about traditional media (TV, Radio, Print, and OOH), too.

We work on a very fast paced client. You'll get involved on many fronts and will have to become the expert, the point of contact for internal and external teams.

You'll know the detail and be able to dream big.

  • Understand and apply data and learnings to ensure media plans are well thought, well structured, and researched
  • Multi-task across simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines despite regular changes
