Job objective: Epirus is seeking a motivated IT Systems and Network Administrator to join our team. In this role you will own both IT Systems, cloud and on-premise, as well as IT Networks. You will build and maintain a robust ecosystem of technology with a focus on making it highly available, durable, and secure. As a partner to both IT and Cybersecurity, you will operate inside both domains, supporting multidisciplinary projects, acting as an escalation point for junior staff, and supporting more complex IT tasks. You will create documentation, mapping and workflows in support of compliance and security objectives and help us optimize security posture and spend, both on-premise and in the cloud. This is a hybrid role with heavy emphasis on network administration and systems administration.

Duties 

• Own all IT networks, including, LAN, WAN, WIFI, VPN and cloud networks
• Ensure the performance, security and accountability of our IT infrastructure, networks and SaaS portfolio
• Design, deploy and maintain virtualized and physical server infrastructure
• Administer and optimize our existing directory systems and MDM systems
• Participate in the creation and administration of policies, procedures, and standards
• Assist Cybersecurity team members with EDR and other security related processes
• Support security and compliance audits (vendor or client) as necessary
• Preparing technical documentation, reports and network/system maps as required
• Use security monitoring tools to evaluate and improve the security of organization systems and network
• Develop and implement automation across the IT and Cybersecurity ecosystems
• Own our small but growing Linux infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on systems administration experience
• 3+ years of network administration experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory and MS Intune MDM
• Experience with cloud compute platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Experience with Microsoft Servers, Linux servers and VMware servers
• US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)

Desired Qualifications

• Startup experience and/or Defense/Aerospace/Military experience
• Experience with FortiNet networking products
• Experience HPE, HPE Aruba and Cisco networking products
• Network and cloud platform certifications
• Active security clearance
