Job Summary: 

Ready for a challenge!  iHerb is looking to add a tech-savvy QA Analyst reporting into our Product Manager. As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing software test cases and test plans.  You will then execute and report on tests conducted and manage resulting defects.  In addition, you are expected to regress systems under test and assist development with replicating and debugging problems. 

Job Expectations:

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans
  • Test Case and Test Document creation
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Run manual tests based on test cases and test plans
  • Identify record document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet customer needs
  • Liase with internal teams (developers and product team) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Define and reports on quality assurance (QA) metrics
  • Assist with Release Coordination
  • Mobile/Tablet and Web/Application Testing
  •  Perform and maintain configuration management controls for company products
  • Conduct testing on all software products for any applicable platforms utilizing systems analysis techniques and procedures 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   

Required:       

  • Communication Skills, must be able to articulate, and have a strong technical vocabulary
  • SDLC Understanding
  • Manual Testing Experience
  • Experience using trace tools to capture logs
  • Experience in log file analysis
  • Basic-intermediate knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with a bug tracking tool
  • Understanding of TFS a plus
  • Display of initiative / self-starter
  • Understands Agile Environment/Continuous Delivery
  • Software Developer Interaction Experience
  • Project Manager Interaction Experience
  • Web and/or Mobile Application Testing Experience
  • Analytical Skillset
  • Detail Oriented
  • MS Office Knowledge (efficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

 

Experience Requirements:Generally requires a minimum of two (3) years of QA experience  

Education Requirements:An Associates Degree is required (emphasis in Computer Science preferable)
