This is a remote opportunity that will be based out of California. 

Role Overview:

The IT Manager will be responsible for playing the primary lead in proactively coordinating and planning our company’s technology strategy in corporate software, infrastructure, equipment and IT security. The IT Manager will focus on desktop support, SaaS Platforms,, application support, and application deployment. The role will interface internally with all EZ Texting staff and externally with consultants and vendors who support our technology. The right candidate will be passionate about  building a world class IT organization, driving operational efficiencies through automation and being a strong IT technology partner across our teams at EZ Texting. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technology operations across our remote first employee base and define our long term corporate IT vision to optimize employee productivity with proactive IT monitoring and infrastructure updates as needed
  • Lead and manage our IT team, including directly supervising employees, hiring, and fostering a strong customer service mindset
  • Oversee and provide critical support for all major corporate IT initiatives
  • Develop and implement corporate IT governance policies and standard operating procedures
  • Advocate and adopt the correct remote first tooling needed to support a disparate and remote workforce
  • Develop training materials and train end users as needed
  • Gather metrics to identify trends that help create business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Continually iterating and looking for ways to optimize existing processes and opportunities for automation across the company
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT support tickets
  • Maintain production-level up time for virtual infrastructure and critical-path platforms.
  • Maintain backup and Disaster recovery plans for all technological infrastructure, including systems and data, monitor, and ensure a high level of IT security and data integrity.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities in managing and supporting a multi-office or remote first IT organization.
  • Champion of IT industry best practices with an in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies and their impact on enterprise IT organizations.
  • Experience with MDM (Mobile Device Management).
  • Experience with IT-related Information Security.
  • Experience with Windows Servers, Windows 10 & Mac OS systems.
  • Experience with G-Suite Administration.
  • Experience with Backup Technologies and Disaster Recovery.
  • Competency in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automating, implementing and supporting Cloud and ITSM tools such as Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Zapier, LDAP, Ansible, Okta, G-Suite, Google Cloud, AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with O365 Exchange Administration, Microsoft Remote Desktop and QuickBooks.
  • Prior work experience at a technology oriented or SaaS company
