POSITION SUMMARY

A subscription service for smart devices, clean energy technologies, and energy management, coupled with pro installation and on-bill financing. 

Our Santa Monica office is looking for an IT Manager to run the IT operations at Inspire, including networks, telecom, corporate security, computer provisioning and maintenance. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering, you will ensure employees are able to do their best work in the Santa Monica and Philadelphia offices.


THE IT MANAGER HAS SIX MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operations: Oversee all technology operations across both the Santa Monica and Philadelphia offices. Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures. Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions
  2. Telecom: Provide reliable networking and telecom for conference rooms and company wide meetings
  3. Management: Work directly with building operations personnel and external vendors
  4. Hardware: Provision hardware for new employees and provide ongoing maintenance and support
  5. Software: Manage corporate software account access
  6. Support: Process incoming requests of IT related work


SOME EXPECTED 2019 DELIVERABLES 

  • Improve network/WiFi performance and reliability 
  • Improve conference room virtual meeting capability and reliability
  • Carry out corporate security tasks to achieve compliance with Inspire’s security policies


SUCCESS METRICS

  • 99% uptime of telecom in all conference rooms
  • Achieve compliance with Inspire’s security policy
  • Quickly resolve hardware and software provisioning and support
  • Ability to work with building IT staff and 3rd party vendors deliver Technology Operations for the company


DESIRED TRAITS

  • Leader - must be able to identify, prioritize, and manage multiple workstreams, driving them towards success by coordinating with multiple stakeholders and 3rd party resources
  • Technical Prowess - strong understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, wifi, etc., and ability to learn new systems
  • Process Oriented - build and improve processes to streamline support requests and recurring tasks


EXPERIENCE

  • Must Have
    • 5+ years of professional experience in IT
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related areas of study (or equivalent experience)
    • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
    • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and telecom
    • Ability to manage personnel
  • Nice to Have
    • Experience with corporate security and IT policies
    • Hands on experience with 
      • GSuite
      • Okta
      • FreshService or equivalent ticketing system
      • JAMF
      • AWS (IAM Roles and rights managements)
