You will be known as the person to call internally and externally when someone needs something fixed or needs to know how something works.  Your role is to know the product and to be of assistance for whatever is needed internally and externally. 

The Position

• Responsible for providing technical and applications support and solutions to LED fixture customers. Help customers resolve their technical and application issue related to LED fixture specifications.
• Travel to project sites to trouble shoot and find resolution for installations that are not operating properly.
• On site trouble shooting of commercial building electrical systems. This includes AC power analysis and lighting control system diagnostics.
• Manage ticket support system with other groups including Operations.
• Conducting root cause analysis and completing failure analysis 8D reports.
• Work with other groups including Operations, Product, and Engineering to determine nature of issue and potential corrective actions.
• Support customers from other geographical regions through communication and on-site visits.
• Provide sales support in the manner of Lighting layouts, AGI renderings, lighting calculations, code compliance support, quotes, takeoffs, etc.
• Assists with winning design projects across the customers and applications within the assigned territory. Provide cross-reference support and act as the technical expert from the factory.
• Provide technical and application support to LED product development. Perform application tests, Qualification tests, and data analysis.
• Lead technical discussions and present technical features and benefits of the company’s products. Answer technical product and application questions for our customers, sales force, design engineers, and other departments within the organization.
• Case study and application solution development in combining the technologies and features of our products and application requirements, especially for those emerging markets and new application.
• Develop and provide technical training for employees and customer’s and must possess the skills to analyze complex electrical and electronic systems for the application of division products and act as liaison between customers and our internal teams for difficulties arising from quality issues or product misapplications.
• Design and conduct component and system level experiments and prepare test reports.
• Provide regular feedback to the company's engineering, product development and marketing teams regarding product definition and direction. Serve as a liaison between company and clients, providing technical expertise and support to customers and valuable market feedback data for product development efforts for future releases.
• Project management: track and report project status.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Person

It is desired that the engineer have the following qualifications for the position:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of field engineering experience or 5+ years as an electronic system design engineer, power electronics engineer, analog/mixed-signal design engineer, component engineer, or related. Knowledge of commercial building electrical systems and the National Electric Code.

• At least 5+ years of LED Lighting Technical Support work experience work experience
• Lighting control back ground as well
• Experience troubleshoot electrical systems
• Strong Customer communication skills
• Highly organize and accustom to a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
