Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the IT Manager, we are seeking a System Administrator with 2+ years of System Administrator experience to perform a variety of information systems administration functions including installing, configuring, and supporting complex operating and server-based systems; monitors and maintains IT Corp systems including servers, and corp applications; assists the development of images, deployment of applications and services, technology device management, and advanced technical problem solving; monitors services and applications to ensure availability to system users; assists with the implementation of new and upgraded technologies.   



Responsibilities: 

• Install, configure, maintain and support Corporate Servers and VMWare Environment
• Manage Corporate File Server
• Verify Corporate File Share backups are being done and maintained
• Monitor and maintain system performance of all Corporate servers
• Troubleshoot issues and outages together with the NOC, NetEng and NBCU partners
• Ensure that all systems meet compliance and security requirements per NBCU
• Works with NBCU Partners to perform upgrades to hardware and software when needed
• Work with NBCU partners to perform Software and OS upgrades when needed
• Build and maintain all technical documentation with Fandango’s Corp wiki
• Provide Tier 3 support and troubleshooting for the Fandango ServiceDesk team
• Visit the Data Center to perform and hardware and peripheral upgrade or maintenance required. Must be able to quickly arrange repairs for any hardware failures
• Assist with the creation of Network folders within the Fileserver for Depts. May require interaction a NBCU Domain Service for the security group creation
• Work with NetEng to ensure users are able to communicate to all Corp recourses via the Office networks and VPN
• Work with NetEng to verify all servers are being patched. Must be able to take corrective action to help remediate any issues that arise from the patching systems
• Make recommendations for future system and OS upgrades
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

Requirements: 

• 2+ years of System Administrator experience 

• Experience with PowerShell – Command line and scripting 

• Experience with Microsoft OS and Server technologies ( Windows 7/ 10, Server 2008/2012/2016)

• Understanding of Network technologies (Aruba/ Juniper networks) 

• Familiar with Patching procedures and technologies 

• Familiar with File Server Backup/ Recovery procedures and technologies 

• Ability to provide solutions and alternatives to technologies being used 

• Familiar with Virtual Machine technologies
