Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the IT EDI Analyst will manage all EDI transmissions to ensure proper EDI operation to iHerb vendors.The EDI analyst will perform a variety of maintenance, end-user support, and training tasks to ensure efficient processing of EDI orders. The analyst will support both internal and external customers on all issues related to EDI.The analyst will troubleshoot and resolve EDI order exceptions and complete EDI application project-based work. Lastly the analyst will provide guidance and training to other application support analysts on the team on EDI all while performing all responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.

Job Expectations:

  • Support E-Commerce/WMS/ERP/EDI Applications and other software used by the company
  • Collaborates with Purchasing Team to identify and prioritize vendors for EDI implementation.
  • Communicates with suppliers on a regular basis to ensure the milestones are on-track and escalate up the Collaborates with 3rd party provider to train & validate new suppliers that are on-boarded and go-live on EDI.
  • Validate all EDI transmissions, maintains all documents for trading partner setups and analyzes all customer requirements for processes.
  • Coordinates with IT vendor to design all new EDI documents.
  • Manage all EDI transmission, and reports; take ownership of errors or exceptions, and resolve it the timely manner.
  • Coordinates with Vendors and Accounting on invoice issues.
  • Field incoming help requests from end-users via e-mail/phone calls in a courteous manner
  • Participate in the after-hours “on-call” rotation schedule.
  • Work directly with software development to ensure quick resolutions to software issues from beginning to end.
  • Assumes ownership of escalation issues and sees them through to resolution, providing documentation of fixes for potential re-occurrences
  • Produce EDI knowledge base documentation for new/existing procedures and protocols. 
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
  • Three years of experience with EDI communications standards and protocols: AS2, SFTP, VAN, HTTPS; and with at least one EDI software platform (Webmethods, Boomi, Seeburger, Gentran, TLE, BizTalk, etc.).
  • Experience with Order and Financial series documents such as 850, 855, 856, 810, ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC.
  • Two years of NetSuite or SAP ERP experience preferred
  • Intermediate-Advanced SQL Skills, with the ability to generate complex queries 
  • Experience working with large manufacturers.
  • Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Generally requires a minimum of three (3) years of warehouse & e-commerce IT experience. Experience in software development highly preferred. 
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field required.
