How you will contribute:

We are looking for a Director of Internal Business Systems, with deep Salesforce experience. This Director will set and execute on a strategic vision and roadmap for the organization by collaborating with cross functional stakeholders and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have enabled multiple cross-functional business processes on the Salesforce platform to deliver scalable working solutions for a fast-growing SaaS company. This position will report to the SVP Operations.

  • Think critically, solve problems, make decisions and build trust across the organization
  • Get buy-in and approval from Executive (e.g., SVP Ops, CTO, CFO) and Senior Leadership teams
  • Provide solution architecture guidance
    • Actively manage SFDC architecture along with up and downstream systems
    • Educate R&D on ways in which an API to Salesforce could enable speed-to-market solutions on our product roadmap
    • Participate in weekly R&D Product Manager meetings to ensure alignment between business systems and product
    • Consolidate business application/tool stack
  • Evangelize Salesforce development best practices and mentor individuals
    • Serve as point-of-contact with Salesforce account manager and 3rd-party contractors (e.g., UC Innovation) for high-level company decisions
    • Guide Salesforce Ops/Admin personnel supporting each department (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Channels, Customer Success) and in-house IT Manager and Help Desk)
    • Ensure full utilization of team resources / maximize team productivity
  • Drive change:
    • Oversee large scale IT investments (e.g., NetSuite) by facilitating the definition of program objectives, success criteria, governance, stakeholder sign-off, scope, schedule, & budget
    • Effectively mitigate project risks and ensure on-time/in-budget delivery
    • Lead transition from siloed to cross-functional company systems/processes
    • Experience with IT governance and business application portfolio management
  • Work closely with Data Science team in R&D to align enterprise data model between internal business systems and our product platform

Skills you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration
  • 10+ years experience implementing, configuring, customizing and integrating Salesforce plus one more SaaS / Cloud business systems (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora)
  • Knowledge of common practices across CRM, finance, accounting, HR
  • Ideally, hands-on experience with Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, SOQL
  • Must be a self-starter, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have interpersonal skills necessary to manage business and technology relationships
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, collaboration and communication skills
