The perfect candidate is a team player who is eager to share knowledge but still hungry to learn and grow their skill sets as well as pick up new ones on the fly. Must have at least 5 years of experience previously as a DevOps Engineer or a Site-Reliability Engineer.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to work with our Architecture and Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design core infrastructure and platform components for a fast-growing start-up
• Build automation tools, monitoring, and logging infrastructure
• Improve the reliability and resiliency of existing systems
• Resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns and provide long-term solutions
• Act as a technical point of escalation.
• Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation
• Strong scripting experience (Bash/Python/Node/PHP)

What We're Looking For

• Strong production operations background
• Expert knowledge in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Elasticsearch, Lambda, ElasticCache, Beanstalk, DataPipeline, CloudDeploy, Kinesis, Redshift)
• Big Data experience (Kafka, Kinesis, Hadoop, Elasticsearch)
• Data Warehouse experience (Redshift, Kinesis Analytics, EMR, Athena)
• Monitoring and Alerting (Prometheus, NewRelic, DataDog)
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Packer, AWS CLI)

Great to Have

• Advance knowledge in Neo4j and Elasticsearch
• Proficiency with Docker/Kubernetes
• Machine Learning ( SageMaker, Amazon ML)
