As a Marketplace Analyst on the newly established Marketing Strategy & Analytics team, you’ll harness data to power growth across the entire company.

The ideal individual for this role is an analytical rockstar, and will have unrestricted access to every aspect of the business, performing deep quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive decision-making company-wide. The team is highly agile: the faster we can draw insights from data, the faster we can accelerate growth. This individual will pivot seamlessly between big picture strategy and nitty-gritty detail to define organizational priorities. Plus, as an early member of the team, this individual will serve a vital role in defining the department as it grows. 

What you’ll get to do

• Perform analyses to drive major decisions for the company during its most important phase of growth
• Define critical KPIs, dashboards, and operating rhythms to help teams manage performance and create operational rigor
• Partner with every team across the company to identify and implement new initiatives that drive business impact
• Deliver insights & recommendations for scale and lead cross-functional programs to execute on them

What you bring with you

• A penchant for digging deep into data, thinking from first principles, and iterating quickly to deliver results
• A natural problem-solver and strategic thinker. You are comfortable with ambiguity and 80/20 thinking to quickly tease through complexity and bring structure to chaos
• An ability to effectively identify and articulate implications up and downstream
• An ability to communicate effectively and create engaging and informative documents, with actionable synthesis and recommendations
• An easygoing interpersonal style and ability to work and build relationships with a wide range of people
• A team-first attitude that enables you to easily and effectively work with multiple cross-functional teams. You establish enduring, trust-based relationships
• Hands on experience analyzing data using SQL is a plus
• Experienced in visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, etc is a plus
• Perhaps an MBA and current (or past) employment in management consulting, investing (VC, PE or hedge fund) or Business Operations at a fast-growing technology company
