Ranker is expanding its Brand Communications team, and looking for a proven Social Media Manager to spearhead campaigns across multiple platforms. This full time job will be based in Los Angeles. Candidates who are located in Los Angeles and California are strongly preferred, but we are open to remote/WFH candidates. 

About Ranker’s Social Media Manager: 

  • Creating, scheduling, and publishing content across multiple social media channels daily.

  • Have a deep understanding, curiosity and engagement with pop culture, news, and sports.

  • Must have your finger on the pulse of current events and how to think big and creatively for proactive campaigns.

  • The role requires extensive organizational skills, a passion for the media, the ability to manage multiple projects seamlessly, out-of-the-box ideas and a strong interest in communications.

  • Being engaging, supportive, responsive, and of-the-moment to create brand relevant moments.

  • Community management : commenting, liking and interacting with followers as needed

  • Build insights and grow the audience across platforms; track content performance and report weekly/monthly on performance and insights.

  • Update content calendars, including placement of each asset on specific platforms on specific days at specific times.

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects at once.

  • Ability to generate unique, engaging campaign ideas; participate in internal brainstorms

  • Comfortable creating and writing content but will have the support of our internal team for additional resources depending on the projects.

  • Use your knowledge of the platform and data to ensure assets are high performing and in line with best practice.

  • Publicity/Communications background preferred.

  • This role will report to the VP, Communications. 

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of experience working in a social media role

  • Experience creatively strategizing and analyzing performance of corporate social media accounts. 

  • Expertise of multiple social media platforms and data insights (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Experience creating social media content and copywriting.

  • Can work to a specified tone of voice and with strategic messaging.

  • Experience with building a social media following, using social media to drive engagement.

  • An interest in working on multiple accounts and in fast paced environments.

  • Knowledge of paid social media is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational & communication skills; a team player.
