About the role

As the Social Media Manager at Albert, you will drive our multi-channel efforts to refine and grow a truly engaging personal finance brand anchored in our mission to help everyday people make the best financial choices possible. You will collaborate with our marketing and creative teams to define strategy, create content, build our brand and voice across social channels, and grow the Albert community.

Success in this role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, a unique voice, and a strong sense for engaging storytelling across mediums and channels. The right candidate will have worked with established or emerging consumer brands, managed a variety of social media projects, and be very familiar with the nuances of the major social platforms.

Things you're good at

Telling compelling, engaging stories across social platforms, driven by a passion for creating content.

Taking a systematic approach to your work; being detail oriented & structured; and always define measurable goals & objectives at the outset.

A talent for creative vision and seeing projects through to the final deliverables, combining strategic and tactical thinking.

Understanding what drives content virality.

Communicating and collaborating effectively.

You have a sense of humor that translates to social media content.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and program a range of content across social media channels— scheduling, testing, and optimizing—collaborating with other marketing and creative resources as necessary.
  • Refine our content marketing strategy based on your learnings to achieve company objectives.
  • Stay on top of the latest tactics for creating and distributing standout, authentic content across social channels, media types, and formats.
  • Understand, champion, and hone our brand guidelines and voice through your copywriting and other content creation efforts.
  • Nurture and build communities through continuous engagement and dialogue.
  • Cultivate a passionate following of brand advocates.
  • Curate user-generated content to support our brand, community, and storytelling efforts.

Requirements

  • At least three years working in similar marketing or social media roles for established or emerging consumer brands, at an agency or in-house.
  • Direct experience creating compelling social media content aligned with your company's brand and building authentic, engaged communities online.
  • Comfortable working across different media types to craft memorable narratives.
  • Deft copywriting skills, along with a sharp eye for grammar and spelling.
  • A passion for helping and empowering people.
  • Design abilities a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a similar field.
