We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to initiate, plan, coordinate and communicate all aspects of marketing campaigns for upcoming releases and amplify key moments for designated artists, while traversing a broad musical landscape. This position will work across labels within the UMG umbrella.

How you'll CREATE:

  • Manage all aspects of product development and marketing campaigns from concept to completion on given projects. This includes physical, digital, streaming, creating marketing tools, coordination of assets from repertoire teams, the execution and review of territory marketing plans, management of project timelines from assigned roster
  • Collaborate with repertoire owner(s) around inception of campaign ensuring international requirements are included
  • Work closely with repertoire owners and international markets on evaluating and forecasting project opportunities for release
  • Partner with our international markets on all marketing and project management set-up
  • Create and implement innovative marketing plans and strategies for assigned projects
  • Formulate budgets with department heads and allocate appropriate costs; track and manage invoices
  • Manage market requests for tools and assets with appropriate repertoire centre and ensure timely distribution of approved assets
  • Ensure all physical and digital deadlines are met; communicate deadlines to internal and external partners. Troubleshoot as needed to ensure product & release dates are met
  • Ensure creative output of content and repertoire in the form of new products that will generate meaningful revenues for worldwide territories
  • Ensure delivery of product flow to the strategic marketing schedules
  • Identify marketing & product opportunities across all artist brands
  • Liaise with creative departments/designers on the creation and Globalization of packaging, content and assets and securing all necessary approvals from artist, management and label
  • Efficiently address all production supply chain queries (parts deadlines, product setups, stock dates pricing etc) to ensure no issues on each release
  • Co-ordinate artist/project activities & promo around campaigns
  • Generate and distribute analytical project information to all relevant internal stakeholders
  • Submit costed marketing plans for approval and manage campaign within agreed budgetary limits
  • Liaise with internal/external partners including Commercial Affairs, Labels, Managers and Artists Creative Department, Supply Chain etc.
  • Ensure all information is accurately communicated to all departments and international territories regarding strategy, release plans, changes, developments etc.

Bring your VIBE:

  • BA/BA degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing capacity
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with artists and management
  • Comfortable using data & analytics to inform marketing initiatives and decision making
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Extremely passionate about music, must have a deep appreciation and understanding of all genres and possess a strong knowledge of Universal's catalog and repertoire
  • Actively stays on top of market trends for local and international music markets
  • Advanced skills in common software (e.g. MS Office / Keynote / Photoshop / etc.)
