An Insider's view of Verifi

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

In addition to kicker bonuses, raises, promotions, and props awards, one reward that has consistently shown gratitude for great work and commitment to getting the job done, is sincere acknowledgement and two simple words- Thank You. A sincere appreciation is one reward that you can provide consistently and without much work.

Sara

COO

What projects are you most excited about?

One of the project I'm most excited about is taking our deployment automation to the next level, including full integration tests and automated rollback. Also excited about setting up service mesh on Kubernetes.

Kyle

TL, Technical Operations

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started part time at Verifi 11 years ago in our then Managed services team. I worked to be promoted into the Support team, grew into the department manager and then leveraged my knowledge and work ethic to move into product management. Verifi allowed me to be myself and gave me enough space to grow into the business professional I am today.

Kiel

Product Manager

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

I steer clear of micromanagement, so my team members can develop the confidence to work at high levels, with autonomy. I want them to be confident in their decision making abilities, and cultivating open communication is key for this. Lastly, I reinforce it is okay to question why we do things a certain way, and recommend ways to improve them.

Naima

Sr MGR, Business Operations

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

One big challenge is any time we are working on a project and realize new technology is needed. We address this by starting the project with proof of concept (POC), which gives us time to properly evaluate which technologies are best, based on different criteria such as scalability, testability, maintainability, performance, learning curve, etc.
