The fastest-growing High School sport in America isn’t basketball or football—it’s esports—and PlayVS is the official platform for High School esports. We offer an incredible, full-stack esport platform—game integrations, team building tools, leagues, tournaments, and schedules—and our software products tie everything together into a cohesive experience.


PlayVS is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced individual to drive brand partnerships. Our agile team is looking for someone passionate about the future of esports and the creation of new ecosystems. You will serve as a bridge between brands and the internal operations team, to identify, negotiate and manage partnerships that will help to accelerate our ambitious business goals. You will shape the future of esports by spearheading negotiations on high-priority business partnerships.


The ideal candidate for this role is a proven dealmaker with strong strategic skills. The role will require communication across functional teams and requires an individual who is proactive, not afraid to get his/her hands dirty, and is comfortable navigating through complex environments.


Here's What You'll Get To Do:

* Negotiate deals from end-to-end

* Identify major brand sponsors to engage and effectively communicate the specific value proposition for the partner’s business and use case

* Be customer obsessed and develop long-term partnerships

* Build strong relationships with key partners

* Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Legal, Finance and Product to ensure successful development and execution of partnerships

* Create playbooks and pitch materials to empower local teams to efficiently scale partnerships across the region


Here's What We're Looking For:

* 6+ years of relevant partnerships & business development experience working with brands & sponsors

* Dealmaker and strategic thinker with an ability to execute in an evolving, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment

* Balance attention to detail with swift execution – we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength

* Proven track record of stakeholder management

* Outstanding problem solver: creative, solution-oriented, adaptable

* Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills; effective at delivering executive level presentations*

* BA/BS degree


Not Required, But It’d Be Nice If:

* Gaming experience

* Startup experience

* MBA or advanced degree
