We’re looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to stand up a new internal comms function in partnership with GoGuardian’s Marketing and People teams. In this role, you will help our leaders craft compelling messages that share our unique vision, mission, and culture. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, strategic thinker, and highly confident communicator who is adept at capturing and reflecting the voice of senior executives. Candidates should also excel at working collaboratively in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of communications strategies and tactics to help an organization coalesce in times of rapid growth and change.

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute proactive internal communications initiatives in partnership with teams across the company
• Work with the Chief People Officer and Marketing team to develop an internal brand for the People Team
• Serve as the “voice” of the employees, helping build a company culture with a voice that people can rally around
• Understand the unique needs of the organization in order to produce effective communication strategies
• Collaborate directly with senior leadership on their communications and change management strategies
• Manage external partners for successful internal communications activations
• Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal channels, including memos, scripts, intranet posts, presentations, and other communications in both written and spoken form
• Collaborate on messaging and materials for key events including All-Hands meetings, retreats, and strategic planning sessions
• Ensure internal communications messages are consistent with external communications messages
• Find ways to continuously improve and innovate on internal communications practices and channels (intranet, email, Slack, etc.)

Who You Are

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years professional experience in internal communications, public relations, and/or related fields
• Exceptional writer and communicator
• Strong visual acumen and ability to align communications with brand guidelines
• Highly organized with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence to work closely with and advise senior executives
• A keen understanding of tone and brand voiceSkill drafting nuanced copy that inspires and unites
• A desire to be a part of inclusive, purpose-driven brand or organization
• Experience working with designers or external agencies to create effective communication materials
• Bonus: Has worked in the education or EdTech space previously or knows the industry players
• Bonus: Led internal communications for a rapidly growing business of 500+ employees
