You Will Be

  • Managing a team of 4 - 6 Directors & Associate Directors & Senior Managers on a portfolio of the largest accounts to exceed semi-annual revenue targets.
  • Developing Senior talent by identifying & supporting long-term career goals, providing ongoing feedback on areas of opportunity, assigning stretch goals to improve skills & qualifications, training them on business acumen, communication & ad platform skills.
  • Supporting adoption of strategic initiatives in their account portfolio
  • Temporarily manage 1-2 accounts should gaps in team bandwidth occur
  • Closely overseeing and facilitating the onboarding of new accounts that fall under direct reports
  • Interfacing with direct reports’ clients to collect feedback, articulate value, present strategy and strengthen the relationship
  • Providing bi-annual performance reviews and customized professional development plans for direct reports
  • Maintaining the ability to train account managers on all paid search fundamentals, including media planning, campaign building & optimizing, reporting, platform nuances, and data processing & analysis
  • Coaching direct reports on foundational skills, including clear communication, expectation setting, rapport building, active listening and conflict de-escalation
  • Vetting the opportunity of proposed process improvements, in-house automation solutions & 3rd party tech solutions. They would then recommend prioritization to the Head of the Department & help rollout new solutions throughout their team.
  • Testing new applications & best practices in ad platforms to continue improving upon full funnel channel performance.
  • Cross-functional Support
  • Supporting sales in RFPs & new business pitches
  • Supporting marketing with speaking engagements & producing content / case studies
  • Leading paid search-related discussions and partake in internal or public speaking opportunities
  • Maintaining sufficient knowledge of core digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, content marketing, email marketing and programmatic
  • Improving business processes & workflows to better enable collaboration & efficiency between account managers, clients, and business units such as accounting or marketing
  • Reporting to Head of Paid Search and other upper executives on key client service pillars: same store growth, retention, new business and partnerships
  • Identifying critical client/account issues and escalate them to appropriate executives in timely manner
  • Anticipating the needs of the Head of Department and provide concise, actionable information on account opportunities, account obstacles and direct reports
  • Using the account to test and learn new strategies, features and platforms and share findings with paid search department


You Must Have

  • 7-9 years of experience working in paid media advertising comprising of media planning/buying in paid search within an agency/client environment
  • Minimum of 3 years prior staff management with development and mentoring experience
  • Extensive experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns on search platforms (Google Ads, Bing, Yahoo Gemini, Criteo, etc.)
  • Experience with data analytical tools such as Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of competitor insight tools such as SEM Rush and/or Spyfu
  • Strong working experience Google suite, Excel, Powerpoint, Keynote, Asana (project management)
  • Experience with creating paid search customer acquisition campaigns for a diverse range of clients and verticals (Ecom/retail and lead gen preferred)
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and respond to situations quickly
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Advertising, Marketing or a related discipline
