Position Overview
Focusing on the movie rental business of a major studio, NBC Universal, the Planner will be responsible for assisting the Manager and Associate Director in developing and presenting strategy for media placement, as well as providing reporting and data analysis
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of media plans that specify which forms of media will be used to effectively reach the target audience, including emerging media tactics within the Advanced TV ecosystem
- Generate analysis of market and cable operator revenue performance to guide planning
- Assist in maintaining flowcharts, plans and developing media delivery and performance analysis
- Oversee planning workflow, ensure partner proposals, financial documents, and performance data is accurate and updated
- Work with media buying teams to ensure all buys and placements fit the overall strategy
- Input and maintain all campaigns in buying systems (DDS, Prisma) and update organizational documents and dashboards
- Proactively pull campaign reporting to monitor proper pacing and delivery of campaigns and work with media partners to address any arising issues
- Actively execute the organization, reconciliation, and clearance of all billing (client and vendor billing both included)
- Support team with ad-hoc research and data projects as they pertain to client needs or internal requests
- Contribute to the preparation of final third-party measurement reporting. Help build the report that informs how advanced media drove business results. Aggregate existing reporting with third party data that was tied to the campaign
- Participate in strategic and tactical ideation for client use cases of advanced TV
- Maintain industry knowledge of new media offerings
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
- Strong Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables, advanced functions)
- Strong analytical skills with consideration to company/client objectives
- Self-starter personality, able to take on projects and own them to completion
- Ability to create presentations that coincide with data
- Project management; ability to manage multiple projects across critical yet often fluctuating deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
Experience:
- 0-2 years media agency and/or marketing experience
- Experience in developing and implementing analysis and reporting strategies
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
