Summary:

It's a once in a lifetime opportunity – being part of the Global team responsible for Facebook Inc. campaigns (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Oculus, WhatsApp, etc.). You will take part in developing global strategy and orchestration as a member of Mindshare's dedicated Facebook team located in Los Angeles.

With 116 offices across 86 different countries, each Mindshare office is unique. While this role is based in Los Angeles, you will work closely with the Facebook Global teams in Portland and San Francisco. We were appointed to the global Facebook account in 2014 and have grown quickly ever since. In this position, you will be fully dedicated to the brand, building your skills as well as supporting one of the most high profile brands in the world. 

Reporting Structure:

The Facebook Senior Associate will report directly to the Facebook Associate Media Director.

The Role:

This role comes with high growth potential, and the opportunity to expand your skill set across a number of different products and verticals. You'll be pushed on a daily basis to come up with the best solutions available and to meet the exicting challenges set by Facebook.

As the Senior Associate working on Facebook, your primary role will be to support the Media Planning team in the creation & execution of media plans based on client briefs.

You have a great attitude, advanced excel skills, and a good history of challenging yourself. You thrive in a team environment and are an advanced communicator and project manager. You're also detail oriented, and have an interest in global markets and cultures. We look forward to hearing examples of all of this from your past experience.

Tasks

  • Strategy & Planning
    • Utilize research tools to develop audience, category and cultural trends
    • Manage competitive decks and data pulls, coordinating with global market teams as needed
    • Manage global market teamss to ensure timely reporting of budgets and plans
    • Ensure global market teams are aligned to global planning processes and campaign checklists
    • Work with the Assocaite Director, as well as global market teams, to provide budget forecasting and media mix scenarios
    • Work with the Associate Director and Marketing Science teams on campaign reporting set up and reporting cadence
    • Maintain and communicate up-to-date records of the implementation of the plan
  • Account Management
    • Manage account operations internally with global markets as well as externally with clients, request handling, communication with global territories, and systems support
    • Assist global market teams with monthly billing as needed
    • Manage and partner with day-to-day clients on requests

Skills & Knowledge:

  • A minimum of one year of media experience
  • Media Tools experience
  • Awareness and understanding of research tools, syndicated services and publicly available data.
  • Up to date knowledge of media owners, content owners, production agencies, research companies and other suppliers which we could partner with.
  • General knowledge of social media or tech sector.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and numerical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and detail oriented nature
  • Advanced level of IT skills including all Microsoft Office, and preferably GSuite.
  • Familiar with industry planning tools such as ComScore, Kantar or Adviews, AdRelevance or Pathmatics, and MRI/Simmons/Scarborough data
  • Familiar with social media buying and implementation on Facebook including an understanding of key technologies used
  • Prior experience with any of the following: Entertainment industry (movies/TV), teen brands, or innovative technology may be prioritised
