The Role:

We’re in search of a self-starter that works well in an ever evolving, hands-on environment. The right candidate will possess a "can-do" attitude and be willing to hit the ground (and journalist's phones!) running. This Public Relations Manager will join the SnackNation Brand Marketing team, playing a fundamental role in shaping and driving our public relations strategy as a fast-growing smart marketplace connecting members with the emerging CPG brands they love.

You will have the ability to grow your skills and career utilizing bleeding edge thought leadership as it relates to Public Relations. 

What You Get To Do Daily:

Create reach: Drive a creative PR program to solidify our brand positioning and initiatives

Drive visibility: Maintain strong relationships with key business and trade press in our space while ensuring we're at the epicenter of award submissions (and wins!) 

Nurture presence: Research, organize, execute and be present at external event participation in industry or initiative-focused conventions, conferences, networking events, meetups...and even our own SnackNation-branded events

Blend: Corporate messaging with brand-focused content for local and national markets via PR strategy and written communication

Draft: Press packets & releases, story pitches, award submissions, blog posts and more, all while being at the pulse of the latest industry contacts and accolades we need to be successful 

What We Expect From You:

• 4+ years spent in public relations with both in-house and agency experience, most recently being in-house
• B2B and consumer experience required, with experience at a B2B company highly preferred
• A proven track record of delivering PR and media strategy, with extensive network of journalists and publications 
• A background in events organization and award submissions
• Strong and clear communication skills, both written and verbally
• Creatively-minded with a tenacious mentality for achieving company goals in new ways and innovative narratives
• Motivated, self-starting rock-star with important press relationships that will catapult SnackNation’s brand awareness
