As the PR Coordinator, you’ll work directly with our Director of PR to create and implement PR and communications initiatives for Hawke Media and its executive team.

What You'll be Doing:

• Support day-to-day PR initiatives
• Brainstorm pitches and content for contributor columns and press features across all mediums
• Identify and secure awards, speaking engagements, event participation, etc.
• Collect, log and distribute active and past media coverage
• Formulate press strategies for internal partnerships, side projects, and occasional client initiatives
• Assist in composing and maintaining PR collateral, blog/social posts, email blasts
• Create and maintain editorial calendars, speaker list, awards list, press lists, media lists, pitch lists, etc
• Gather and organize master press archive
• Track social shares/stats
• Engage with editor/journalist influencers on social

We Love You if You Love:

• Building and maintaining relationships with press/media contacts
• Developing, posting, and tracking social media content and engaging/developing productive relationships with relevant influencers
• Staying up to date on industry awards, news, trends, and events
• Collaborating across internal departments and channels, and external agency contacts and media partners

Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of Mac OS, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Meltwater, CISION, Wrike, Hootsuite, and major social media platforms
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Lots of energy

Bonus Points:

• 1 to 2 years experience in a PR department or agency
• Fluency in Wordpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Hubspot, Buffer, ManageSplitter, and/or Sprout
• Cute dog you can bring to the office
