Our marketing department is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter who will make a great addition to our team. This opportunity is for a passionate public relations enthusiast who enjoys networking and making connections with outside contacts. We are looking for this individual to bring a sense of enthusiasm and energy into the position. Good communication skills are a must as the office is a very open and transparent environment. In addition, a significant portion of this position will include emailing, cold-calling, and connecting via linkedin/social media with editors and publicists, so good communications skills are vital.

This position is for a full-time PR Manager. Our company exists at the intersection of finance and payments, so basic knowledge of these industries is a must. Likewise, a familiarity with SEO and link building is helpful, as a part of this position correlates to site traffic and general exposure.

We are looking for people who have top-notch work ethic and enthusiasm. A significant portion of this job will be to research and contact industry-related individuals in order to have articles and features published about our company. Additionally, some minor content writing will be required as we create and publish multiple blogs, press releases, and articles throughout the month. We are looking for team members that are willing to put in 110% and feel comfortable overcoming obstacles and maintaining a positive attitude.

Requirements Include:

  • A four-year college degree or subsequent public relations experience

  • Strong familiarity of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, Gmail, WordPress, Quora, and basic Internet navigation

  • An in-depth understanding of contacting publication and website representatives

  • A can-do attitude that will meet deadlines and exceed expectations 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A team player attitude; able to be assertive, goal-oriented, highly-motivated, as well as deliver a positive attitude

  • A desire to work in a fun, dynamic, and fast-paced environment

  • Prior finance/business/payments writing experience

  • A strong desire to be on the phone and comfortable cold calling if necessary 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Corresponding with the CEO and marketing team to go over weekly initiatives

  • Contacting external websites for link-building opportunities on their site

  • Researching industry leaders and relevant publication/review sites

  • Networking and forging relevant connections within and outside of the payments space

  • Writing, editing, and publishing original content for blogs and articles on a weekly basis

  • Keeping a record of contacts, publications reached, and statuses of features

  • Use of WordPress to write and publish articles
