TikTok's Brand & Marketing team helps ensure we're delivering on this mission through all of our marketing and communication efforts, helping establish our brand against consumer verticals and through constant marketing innovation across advertising, digital engagement and social storytelling. The Media Director will be responsible for: -Collaborating closely with internal marketing and other functional teams to define TikTok media strategy. -Initiating, planning, and coordinating creative media campaigns as well as activations to increase brand awareness. -Driving upper funnel strategy and brand storytelling across a range of digital and traditional channels. -Actively aligning with TikTok User Growth team to be in-market with unified messaging during key media moments. -Analyzing the effectiveness of media campaigns to better optimize spend and performance, draw insights and make data-driven decisions that drive the marketing team’s goals. -Capitalizing on local trends in culture, (i.e. sports, gaming and e-sports, music, film / TV, fashion, DIY, comedy, memes) to drive social buzz, press and brand recall. -Building longterm always-on media programs aimed at improving brand perception and consideration.
-Bachelor’s degree or above in communications, marketing, journalism, or related fields. -8+ years experience in a top media agency and/or managing media agencies in a fast-paced tech, entertainment or culture brand company. -Proven track record of independently managing successful campaigns including planning, testing, creative development and ongoing optimization. -Ability to allocate resources both effectively and efficiently under time pressure with high attention to detail. -Strong knowledge of programmatic, ad tech, audience segmentation, effective brand marketing channels and acquisition marketing; product placement, integrations and celebrity endorsement campaign experience a plus. -Combination of creative, planning/project management and analytical skills as well as excellent communication skills. -Experience in international media across cultures and time zones such as APAC regions and/or global / multi-territory campaigns is a plus.
