How we LEAD:

UMe is seeking a Marketing Operations Specialist in the company's Santa Monica, CA location. This role will support the marketing team by managing strategies, processes and platforms for the marketing team as well as overseeing their implementation, measurement and progress. This role will also facilitate the design, implementation and management of a range of online and offline communications regarding team operations. This position will collect, distill, and effectively communicate information coming from Marketing, Commerce, International, A&R, Finance, and other departments within the company. This role will work directly with Universal executive staff and teams within UMe; as such this position is a visible and prominent role inside the organization.

How you'll CREATE:

  • Identify, recommend and lead the implementation of marketing technology and communications initiatives
  • Analyze marketing and communications tools and steer their usage in the company
  • Create and automate systems to capture, assess and report on the massive data pools generated by marketing efforts
  • Benchmark the team's marketing activities, performance and expenditures; develop a roadmap for improvements
  • Facilitate and optimize information flow around the company, including to and from the executive leadership team
  • Oversee planning, development, production and delivery of marketing communications materials
  • Prepare written materials including copy, business communications, reports and presentations
  • Develop and manage communication and asset calendars
  • Ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand standards and best practices
  • Maintain institutional knowledge base by creating a shared repository of reports, results, analysis, tools and best practices

Bring your VIBE:

  • 3+ years in marketing operations, communications, creative agency, or similar fields. Music industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and analysis skills including use of software including Photoshop, PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Strong analytical skills – must be able to fully immerse in label workflows and understand processes, communication goals and stakeholder needs from the highest levels down to the smallest details
  • Understanding of the global music marketplace powering today and tomorrow's marketing efforts
  • Strong grasp of collaboration and asset management tools
  • An unquenchable thirst for innovation, experimentation and reinvention
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and operate effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-team capacity
  • Bachelor's preferred
