OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Operations Analyst provides insights and analysis to power data-driven decision-making for the Marketing team related to sales operation, account management, compensation, and payroll. The role will create reporting that provides insights and information used to develop and measure the Sales Operations team. The position will report to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics and will also collaborate with the Business Intelligence team and other key stakeholders to develop process improvements for data management and collection.

TEAM OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Analytics team is a dynamic, data driven group which drives all metric planning, analysis, reporting, and optimization efforts across the marketing organization. We produce customer lifetime value data models that assist the department in making better acquisition decisions. We also work across the organization to coordinate and prioritize marketing initiatives with Development and Business Intelligence teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Objectives:  

  1. Support day-to-day compensation plans for sales and account management.
  2. Monthly Reporting
  3. Implement procedures and controls with a focus on streamlining our process.

Essential Position Duties:

  1. Support day-to-day compensation plans for sales and account management
    • Demonstrating understanding of compensation plans and policies.
    • Reviewing and analyzing compensation data.
    • Performing data analysis.
  2. Monthly Reporting
    • Generating compensation and payroll reports.
    • Demonstrating understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward the development of systems that enable process improvement.
  3. Implement procedure and controls with a focus on streamlining our process
    • Seek out improvements in current internal reporting and performance monitoring to drive more accuracy, better insights, and more streamlined processes
    • Master large data sets with SQL and Tableau
    • Manage multiple data sources and perform data management and data cleansing processes
    • Analyze results and prepare reports and presentations detailing recommendations for action to senior management
  4. Perform other duties as assigned

  • Lift up to 25lbs without assistance up to chest height

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:                                                            

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative/analytical field.
  • Three or more (3+) years of extensive hands-on data analytics experience.
  • ‪‪Advanced Excel skills and having experience creating reports and running ad hoc analysis preferred.
  • Experience with visualization software such as (Tableau/ Power BI) is a plus.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tools, especially Salesforce.com is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and fact-based problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze large amounts of data and be able to make recommendations based on identification of trend and gaps along with creating forecasts based on historical data
  • Must be a self-starter and ready to work in an intense but fun environment with our existing team of marketing professionals
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated individual who is able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Works well under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                               

  • Advanced MS Excel
  • MS Access, Tableau, Power BI, and/or SQL is strongly preferred
