We are seeking a gritty, determined, and experienced digital marketer to join our team.  Responsible for leading digital growth marketing initiatives and building on our foundational (and showing more and more promise daily!) digital marketing program, he or she is here to take what we’ve started with and raise the bar much, much higher.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the perfect candidate will be ready to roll up his or her sleeves and become Bambee’s second marketing hire (making us the Dynamic Duo!), running point on our day-to-day marketing program execution and expanding our digital / online footprint.

Bambee is growing very quickly, but we’re a lean team that relies on testing, learning, grit, and a heavy daily dose of collaboration, communication, and caffeine.

Like any other startup, we know where we’ve got pain today, and below represent a sampling of some of the more immediate needs of the role.  

However, like any other successful startup, you need an incredibly sense of adaptability and a resolute commitment to doing what needs to be done to get us to the next level (especially when that direction changes multiple times before we successfully cross the finish line together).

Some Typical Responsibilities:

  • An accomplished Growth Marketer.  You’ll design, develop, and execute digital programs to increase customer growth and improve conversion rates across multiple channels.  This includes (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, Paid Search, Display/Retargeting, YouTube & Affiliate Marketing, Email Marketing, Direct Mail, Messaging, and more.  The right candidate will also have the proven ability to identify and test new channels, able to share stories about the iterating done to validate theories and improve performance as he/she added new channels to the portfolio mix.

  • Day-to-day management of inbound customer requests.  From onsite chat to Facebook Messenger to our social platforms, be the initial voice of the brand that our prospective customers engage with.  Provide timely responses to inquiries across different platforms, coordinate with internal resources to address questions, help qualify leads, and ensure a smooth transition of info to our Sales team.

  • Content Marketing & Development. Help design and create content (i.e., writing copy, blog/social posts, etc) that speaks to Bambee’s unique value proposition.  Tailor messaging to target audiences, test, and refine. Coordinate with outside parties/resources as needed to continue to build out campaign, channel, and branded content.  Work with in-house and outside agency teams not just on creative concepts, but manage asset deliveries, ensuring production timelines remain on track.

  • Funnel Optimization. Map out and execute best-in-class customer journeys, from ad messaging and tailored landing pages to retargeting campaigns and funnel optimization.  Create and test new concepts, find ways to tailor different stages of the funnel based on buyer intent, then iterate, iterate, iterate.

  • Analyze Data, Report Findings, and Iterate Experiments. We’ll look to you to execute campaigns but to report back not numbers but stories.  What does the data mean? What did we learn that we would have otherwise overlooked? What new growth theories does this raise?  And how do we test those theories? And ultimately, what did this do to impact core KPIs like CPL, CAC, and Churn? And as above, iterate, iterate, iterate.

About You:

  • A natural communicator.  Whether you’re chatting with a lead, responding publicly on a social platform, or working on some catchy landing page copy, you need to be clear, concise, and give our brand a voice with your excellent communication style.

  • An in-the-trenches SMB marketer.  You’ve been in the trenches, you’ve executed a number of campaigns, and you’re looking for a new home to bring those hard-earned battle scars and help us take our marketing team from zero to 70. You’re familiar with the impacts of different platform algorithms, you stay on top of the changes with the Facebooks and Googles of the world, and you’ve also go some special insights into how those affect an SMB audience specifically.

  • A fearless scaler.  You've been a key part of a rapidly-growing, best-in-class marketing team operating at scale.  In addition to rolling up your sleeves (above), you’ve also got a demonstrated ability to automate campaigns, optimize bids, and drive stronger performance as we grow and quickly increase our marketing investments.  

  • A relentless grinder.  You'll be tasked with quickly scaling some of our most important marketing channels.  It’s not enough to thrive on challenge. You need to be incapable of not pushing yourself or the team to achieve greater and greater heights. It’s one thing to get your hands dirty.  It’s another thing to do what it takes, no matter how seemingly menial, over and over again. It means that just when you finish up one major project, you can dig deep to get more out of the gas tank and keep going.  There’s always going to be far more to get done than most people think is possible, but where most would throw in the towel, seeing others back down actually fuels your own passion to go the distance.

  • Ruthlessly analytical and insatiably curious. You can read digital tea leaves and tell stories based on what our customer’s digital footprints have left behind.  You will likely not fully trust the data in front of you, so you’ll push and push, digging into the data directly but also working with our tech teams and outside marketing agencies to find core truths, after which you can turn the data into actionable insights, share with the team, and then run with directly. And even then, your natural curiosity will keep you going and coming back for more.

  • A self-described data junkie.  You love to execute, you love campaigns, but love getting the data after the fact and figuring out what it means.  Your natural propensity to test constantly sets you apart from others, and your willingness to check your own assumptions at the door when faced with compelling customer data keeps your ambitions in check and your north star calibrated (making you an excellent advocate for our customers and setting a higher and higher bar for marketing excellence).
