About the Role

Early Growth is seeking a highly creative, motivated and organized Marketing Assistant who has a deep interest in digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and SEO to join our Marketing team.

The Marketing Assistant role is a great opportunity to get exposure in various areas of the marketing department while gaining in-depth knowledge about branding, communications, strategy, promotions, and advertising. This role will support the marketing team as we work together to build campaign messaging and creative marketing strategies that drive positive ROI opportunities and differentiate Early Growth in the market.

 The right person for this role is someone who is very comfortable working independently while still being collaborative and possesses a strong ability to multitask, prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently. This person should have exceptional communication skills with robust attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive actionable insights. 

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for the startup, entrepreneurship, finance and marketing industries, a ‘can do’ attitude and an intellectually curious mentality with a hunger to learn more. 

This person will report directly to the Marketing Director in Los Angeles. The candidate chosen for this role must be currently located in the Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities

- Assist the marketing team in the development of Early Growth marketing campaigns - including developing strategies and implementing day-to-day campaign functions 

- Work with the Marketing Director to oversee and track the success of digital marketing campaigns across Facebook, Google Ads, LinkedIn, ConstantContact and other channels– sharing results, key learnings and insights that can be applied to future initiatives

- Assist the team in maintaining and evolving strategies to increase engagement and followings on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube 

- Generate content that speaks in our uniquely branded voice (including video content) and execute the day-to-day posting and channel management on all relevant social media platforms

- Be willing to take on graphic design projects to enhance marketing creative and content

- Oversee and maintain our digital event channels including the website calendar, Eventbrite, Zoom, etc.

- Execute monthly internal and external email communications via Constant Contact

- Develop knowledge of SEO and assist in implementing best practices on the company website and in coordination with all marketing initiatives

- Collaborate with multiple teams and individuals across the organization

- Be flexible and assist with a variety of other areas that are crucial to the success of the company

Skills & Experience

- BA required (in Marketing, Business, Communications or related area preferred)

- 1-3 years of marketing experience

- Proficiency in Google Cloud programs including Google Docs, G-Sheets, G-Drive, etc

- Detail-oriented with strong ability in written and verbal communication

- Excellent project management and organization skills- experience with Asana a plus

- Strong sense for design

- Experience with Facebook and Google Ads required

- Proficiency in analytics and data interpretation

- Experience with SproutSocial or similar social media marketing platform

- Experience creating video content preferred

- Experience with email marketing a plus
