About the role

As our business grows, we’re looking for an experienced marketing analyst who will be responsible for analyzing digital marketing data, developing insights, and making recommendations that inform our user acquisition strategies and tactics. You will be responsible for building and maintaining KPI dashboards, reconciling data reporting from various sources, developing presentations for business reviews, and providing ad-hoc analysis to support the marketing organization.

Success in this role requires a rigorous approach to data analysis, as well as an ability to develop and communicate insights efficiently and effectively. The right candidate will have worked with established or emerging consumer technology brands that deploy eight-figure marketing budgets, be thoroughly familiar with the major social ad platforms, and have the necessary statistical and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze marketing campaign data, funnel conversion data, and product usage data to generate ad performance reports and recommendations for creative testing.
  • Collaborate with executives, marketing, and design stakeholders to track KPIs tied to business objectives, develop insights into online advertising campaign performance, and inform creative strategy, and identify emerging online advertising trends.
  • Interface with third-party advertisers and reporting platforms to ensure data reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and manage dashboards and regular reports that provide insight into online ad performance, customer lifecycle, subscriptions, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Own data analysis for marketing, including data collection, processing, reconciliation, and visualization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a marketing or data analyst, preferably at a consumer technology company with an eight-figure (or greater) marketing budget.
  • Experience building data pipelines, analyzing, and visualizing data. SQL proficiency a plus.
  • A proven ability to effectively utilize business intelligence tools and such as Tableau, Chartio, Looker to build interactive dashboards.
  • Familiarity with developing or managing attribution models for online advertising.
  • A history of working closely with marketing managers and/or designers to inform online advertising creative strategies.
  • A fundamental understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience with subscription or SaaS businesses a plus.
  • BS or MS degree in a quantitative field such as engineering, computer science, data science, math, statistics, or related field.
