ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Integrated Planning Manager manages all day to day planning/client service activity. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will provide media planning recommendations internally and directly to the client. You will oversee preparation of media plans, optimization, reporting analysis, as well as other internal and client facing deliverables. You will also oversee the direct reports Associates in their day to day work.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Partner with Director and work closely with client to deliver on film goals, while simultaneously guiding and mentoring the Associates and Sr. Associates in plan development
  • Manage campaigns from start to finish, serving as the day-to-day lead on assigned titles including oversight over all elements of plan development, implementation and execution
  • Serve as primary contact for Digital team, Investment teams & Non-Broadcast media partners maintaining holistic view of campaign at all times
  • Plan development:
    • Partner with Digital Managers and Directors to develop and support strategic plan development
    • Serve as a resource and mentor for Associates and Sr. Associates, exhibiting ability to communicate clearly and effectively while imparting knowledge and guidance as appropriate throughout planning stages
    • Clearly outline team's responsibility and division of labor for each title & have regular check-ins
    • Set-up timeline for meetings/deliverables/check ins through plan presentation across planning, digital, client, investment teams ensuring strategies are accurately reflected on integrated calendar
    • Maintain strong, collaborative, productive working relationships across Local and National Investments teams, client team & reps to create seamless communication and ensure media strategies are delivered
    • Have a clear understanding and full knowledge of each network / program being recommended
    • Demonstrate strategic thinking and problem solving skills, proposing innovative ways to use media to drive awareness and intent
    • Keep team accountable on deadlines and communicate with Sr. Director on any concerns with workload
    • Incorporate expertise in research methodology, targeting, media landscape, historical box office landscape etc. throughout planning process
    • Oversee presentation materials development & participate in client presentations
  • Execution:
    • Oversee day-to-day implementation of the plan
    • Work closely with digital, investment & client teams to communicate deadlines, budgets & changes while ensuring plans stay on strategy throughout execution phase
    • Drive strategy and serve as primary contact coordinating all teams during tracking drills & weighing in on budget breakout across media (Prime, Fringe, Syndication, Cable, Sports, Hispanic, Local TV, Audio, Digital, broadcast vs non-broadcast etc.) while supporting Sr. Associate in building out recommendations
    • Manage any ad hoc requests from client quickly and accurately, delegating as appropriate and ensuring research / data pulled by team is interpreted and positioned in the most, relevant, useful & digestible way
    • Delegate work effectively and provide final review of all documents going to client: plans, recommendations, spend to dates, specs, research, planning summaries etc. ensuring accuracy and on point messaging
    • Maintain strong oversight of allocations across all broadcast media to provide insight on best use of inventory for assigned titles
    • Work closely with local and national investment teams, collaborating on research to drive sound, informed and cost effective media recommendations
    • Communicate directly with client to resolve any budget / inventory issues that arise throughout campaign
    • Anticipate and proactively prepare for client needs prior to requests coming down in order to successfully meet tight deadlines
  • Team Leadership:
    • Responsible for growing and training of Associates and Senior Associates
    • Handle issue resolution, recommend process improvements, and help streamline team's workflow
    • Attend and participate in Client/Agency meetings as the day-to-day team representative
    • Lead dialogue in vendor meetings discussing upcoming titles, Paramount needs/goals with a focus on potential cross platform opportunities
    • Align with Digital Manager to work toward educating and understanding opportunities within the digital space and attending digital specific rep meetings to further understand digital strategies and tactics
