Manager, Ad Operations
Objectives of the Role:
The Ad Operations Manager oversees and manages the day-to-day activities of the trafficking team. This person works collaboratively with internal departments, as well as work cross-functionally with peers, other media disciplines, and account leadership.
Business Responsibilities:
• Ensure the proper set-up and execution of all digital ad campaigns.
• Establish and document Ad Operations processes and best practices.
• Provide guidance to Associates and Analysts on best practices for creative QA, tag creation (creative and conversion), and tracking + reporting.
• Help Ad Operations team manage workload and provide support to clients and media teams for all issues related to ad serving.
• Identify and participate in industry training and best practices development initiatives.
• Consult with clients, media teams, publishers, and vendor regarding advertising solutions based on comprehensive knowledge of clients' marketing objectives.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
People Responsibilities:
• Provide timely feedback and performance evaluation to team members.
• Mentor/manage staff, workflow, and resourcing needs.
• Primary contact for team issues and problem escalations.
• Provide guidance to team members and nurture/promote collaborative team environment.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external teams and be a good role model for junior staff members.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Skills and Behaviours:
• Solid understanding of agency side digital advertising process and workflow.
• Extensive experience with advertiser ad serving platforms: Campaign Manager, Sizmek, etc.
• Good understanding of publisher side ad serving platforms.
• In depth knowledge of rich media ad formats, technologies, and vendors.
• Extensive experience with HTML and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of campaign measurement metrics associated with online advertising, including conversion tracking.
• Comprehensive understanding of online campaign measurement and methodologies
• Knowledge of data collection and site analytics platforms.
• Strong campaign management and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledgeable of digital advertising best practices and current industry developments.
• Possess advanced analytical skillset with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to prioritize workload in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Qualifications and other relevant information:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 4+ years relevant experience desired
