We are helping millions save when they shop online, and we're hiring! We are actively seeking an Internal Communications Manager to join the Operations team in our Los Angeles office.

About the team:

As a member of the Operations team, you’ll be reporting to the Director of Communications and will work across departments to ensure employees are informed and engaged. Our goal is to make sure that everyone at Honey has the information they need to do their best work, and stays connected to our mission, vision, and values.

About the Role:

As an Internal Communications Manager, you’ll be responsible for drafting and managing the distribution of internal communications across the company. You’ll support the Director of Communications in building the communication infrastructure needed to educate and inspire employees in a rapidly growing company. The role requires excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to distill complex information in a compelling way. We’re looking for someone who thinks deeply about how things are said and delivered, and is passionate about bringing a company’s voice to life in an authentic way.

What You'll Do:

As an Internal Communications Manager at Honey, you will:

  • Work cross-functionally to draft company-wide communications and develop distribution strategy across platforms
  • Manage execution and content development for the weekly company stand-up
  • Develop and establish relationships with each team to document team processes and guidelines
  • Identify ways to improve communication across teams to ensure relevant information and updates are being shared
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of messages across internal and external communications
  • Keep remote team members informed on important company news and updates
  • Partner with IT to drive employee adoption of communication and collaboration tools, specifically assist with build of company intranet
  • Use metrics to measure the impact of communication and retention of information
  • Know Honey inside out - be an expert insider in terms of who we are, what our core products are, how we implement core values, and why we value the things we do
  • Overall understand our brand identity and voice, and be able to present that internally and externally

About You:

  • 3-5 years of communications experience, preferably in internal communications, corporate communications, PR or in tech
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication skills with a passion for engaging and motivating others
  • Highly attuned to how context, syntax, and delivery method can impact message reception
  • Proven success in developing high-impact employee communication campaigns across multiple mediums
  • Knowledge of current digital communication/collaboration tools, e.g. Slack, GSuite, Confluence, Asana, etc.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with little direction
  • Creative wordsmith and storyteller
  • Effective time management, analytical, and organization skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic - goes the extra mile without being asked
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically
  • Enjoy solving problems you’ve never encountered before
  • Good sense of humor (we take our work seriously, but we try to not take ourselves too seriously)

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Tech experience
  • Event planning experience
  • Background in internal communications
