Head of Marketing
What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a Marketing leader to join the WITHIN team. The Head of Marketing must be a dynamic thinker who thrives on driving measurable growth across both digital and offline channels. This role is for a team-builder, capable of driving results against defined success metrics and the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
The ideal candidate needs to be an experienced, digital-media professional with proven ability to move laterally across multiple Marketing disciplines using a combination of internal and external resources. This role requires someone who will take calculated risks to drive growth through creativity, data-driven insights, rolling optimization and tactical iteration to set the benchmark for the Immersive Media industry. In partnership with other members of leadership, the Head of Marketing will participate in strategic planning, problem-solving and overall business management. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

- Lead an audience and business growth strategy that utilizes all levers across both paid and earned media
- Develop innovative methodologies that marry inspired creativity with data-informed risk-taking
- Mentor and recruit smartly to build the best-in-class Marketing group in immersive media
- Manage a small team of specialists as well as multiple outside vendors & agencies
- High Level Oversight of Marketing Strategy, Promotion Planning & Execution
- High Level Oversight of Paid Media management and rolling optimization
- High Level Oversight of Audience Development / Social Media
- High Level Oversight of Events & Festivals production and planning
- High Level Oversight of Communications / PR
- Develop and steward WITHIN's Marketing strategy in collaboration with management peers, with a core focus on increasing total users, fans, followers, subscribers, and audience across all channels, both digital and physical.
- Mentor and build a lean and results-oriented Marketing team, tailored toward multi-platform brand-building and audience growth
- Drive the definition and analysis of real-world KPIs and growth targets to gauge progress at every stage of effort.
- Single point of accountability for the successful planning and execution of standing tactics as well as major promotions, pushes, and launches.
- Partner with Product Management to develop major GTM plans and launch strategies
- Provide weekly updates to executive team on campaign and spend performance, efficiency, and progress toward growth goals.
- Serve as a relentless evangelist for Within’s brand, products and positioning in the market both internally and externally.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s Degree and /or MBA in Marketing or related disciplines a plus
- 7+ years experience in Marketing with demonstrated success driving real-world results
- Experience developing and leading a small but effective internal team as well as outside vendors and agencies
- The leadership to speak up and act when something is not working
- Deep experience with SEO, SEM, video, web analytics, media planning/buying (all channels in addition to digital)
- Prior oversight of paid marketing spends greater than $1M annually
- Ability to drive toward objectives despite shifting priorities and changing market conditions
- Proven ability to lead strategy, mobilizing others to succeed towards a shared vision
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail
- Must be a driven self-starter who can consistently uncover areas for improvement
- Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, ability to interpret, synthesize and re-communicate both quantitative and qualitative data
