NextVR is the world’s best virtual reality platform for delivering live sports and music in VR to fans globally. NextVR has world-class partnerships with leaders in sports and entertainment including the NBA, NFL, FOX Sports, Live Nation, and the International Champions Cup. NextVR was founded by industry leaders with decades of experience in 3D stereoscopic imaging, compression technology and VR broadcasting.

NextVR’s marketing department is results-focused and thrives at the intersection of data, product, content, creative and sales. Its goal is to grow and engage NextVR’s fan and partner base.

We’re looking for someone who can build and lead our marketing team. The ideal candidate is scrappy, and creative with a solid analytical, consumer digital/mobile product and partnership background.

As the Marketing lead, you will be responsible for growing the NextVR consumer base and communicating with our strategic partners.

You will work in our Newport Beach HQ office in close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as content, platform and revenue partnerships, as well as product and post production to effectively acquire, activate and retain NextVR consumers and business partners globally.

Who you are:

  • 10 years marketing experience in a fast growing tech or transformative media business or consumer digital or mobile product
  • Experience in managing medium to large marketing budget with a performance orientation
  • Deep appreciation for and ability to have a quantitative approach to marketing strategy and performance. Accountable and performance-oriented
  • Phenomenal communication and presentation skills
  • Inspire, motivate and activate a diverse and highly performing team
  • Proven ability to establish and foster relationships across all functional and executive levels of an organization
  • Connect deeply with short and long term needs of a constantly evolving business
  • Track record of building nimble teams while ensuring people are well utilized
  • Innovative and strategic visionary
  • Fantastic cross functional collaborator
  • Comfortable with the unknown, most of what we do at NextVR has never been done before
  • Familiarity with the VR industry is a plus

What you will do:

  • Lead a team of 5+ organized around partner marketing, product marketing, campaign management, social, PR & comms
  • Equally service strategic cross functional teams : sales, content, platforms, executives
  • Analyze understand optimize strategy based on consumer insights
  • Focus strongly on consumer marketing strategy, implementation and optimization
  • Accountable for NextVR users acquisition and retention campaigns
  • Manage relationship with our external agencies: creative, PR, media
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities, big or small
  • Maintain a start-up culture of trying new things fearlessly
  • Cultivate relationships with NextVR partners marketing stakeholders
  • Establish internal relationships at all levels
  • Build trust with management team and executive
  • Ability to influence the direction of the organization
  • Stay ahead of the curve with new VR trends and disseminate information effectively to the marketing and rest of the team
