Coastal Company Head of Growth Marketing

 

Coastal Company is seeking our first Head of Growth Marketing.​ The ideal candidate will have extensive digital and growth marketing experience and is looking for that next career step to lead and shape the marketing and insights functions at a rapidly growing consumer services and lifestyle platform.

This hire is critical to our vision and company strategic plan. This hire will assume leadership of the marketing function from the Founder/CEO and have the opportunity to organize and build their team along with launching new brands and products across an innovative consumer platform. What You’ll Do for Coastal Co.

●  Lead all growth marketing and efforts from the executive team reporting to the CEO

●  Define, measure and report the performance of all paid marketing channels and campaigns

●  Own all current and future marketing programs and channels

●  Define and maintain the marketing strategic roadmaps and playbooks

●  Generate sustained subscription and e-commerce sales and traffic growth

●  Work across the organization to conceptualize and execute growth programs

●  Develop a scalable growth strategy through our direct-to-consumer channels while

constantly evaluating different sales opportunities

●  Test and optimize creative, copy, audience and other campaign success factors

continuously

●  Own and efficiently scale a seven-figure marketing budget, allocating spend and optimizing

a blend of channels to achieve and exceed growth targets

●  Manage segmentation strategy and develop attribution modeling, ensuring we reach the

right audience with the right messaging, at the right place and time

●  Build analytics and insights functions to analyze membership, campaigns and channels

while testing and optimizing constantly

●  Recruit, coach and develop marketing teammates to support future growth as we expand

into new brands, verticals and businesses

●  Establish business relationships with best in class vendor partners

●  Model and utilize data with confidence and aptitude

●  Roll up your sleeves, jump in and get tactical when needed

●  Keep the organization focused on growth and fill gaps as we scale

 

Who and What You Are

●  5+ years of experience in growth marketing; 2+ years in a management role preferred

●  A marketing all-star ready to promote up and lead growth marketing for our brands

●  A leader, planner and decision maker who builds and empowers world class teams

●  Robust marketing experience with expertise in: Direct to consumer marketing, branding,customer experience, analytics, promotions and creative management, digital marketing, social media marketing, e-commerce (subscription commerce a plus), PR, CRM, CMS, marketing technologies, search, retention marketing, and partnerships

●  Affinity for Data - Analytical, experimentation driven who can find the signal in the noise

●  Proven track record of building a growth strategy from the ground up, connecting it to a

thoughtful roadmap & execution plan, and driving measurable results for the entire business

while managing budgets

●  Experience working across various internal and external marketing technologies, testing,

and tracking solutions

●  Experience leading, hiring, and building teams, establishing playbooks, cultures & rhythms

●  Ability to collaborate across multiple functions driving toward a common goal (marketing,

data science, product, engineering, business development, PR, social, brand & creative

teams)

●  Experience working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, growth minded consumer company

●  Bachelor's degree in marketing or a relevant field required; Graduate degree a plus
