About the Role

The Director of Site Merchandising is responsible for the development, planning and execution of product strategy and assortment that drive customer and revenue/margin expectations for our e-commerce merchandising team. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead product merchandising across the site, including the home page, landing pages, and product catalog; responsible for visually merchandising key pages on the site. Drive e-commerce revenue through daily website merchandising, conversion rate optimization and traffic drivers such as SEO.
• Curate content and collections to increase purchases and cross-sells.
• Identify revenue and brand opportunities for products. Provide feedback loop to product development around what is selling, not selling to create quantifiable input on product assortment. 
• Develop product and financial strategies and targets for E-Commerce, partnering with team members across the organization to deliver against goals.
• Provide insight and direction of product assortments by partnering with the Buying and Planning teams.
• Take and own actions to drive order quantities, deliveries, pricing or mark-down initiatives.
• Adjust future product strategies based on analysis of data, with the ability to present data in a digestible format to Fashion Nova employees from Junior Buyers to the CEO.
• Lead efforts to identify buying assortment opportunities for exclusive online selections.
• Partner with photo studio and graphic design to ensure quality product imagery, and with E-Commerce Site Merchandisers to own visual presentation of merchandise on listing pages and product pages.
• Own site monitoring for issues relating to technical, pricing, visual, content and copy.
• Partner closely with the Customer Care Advocate team to ensure a strong understanding of the online customer experience, and take action on feedback (good or bad) to improve that experience online.Collaborate with the planning team to review pricing and promotional events to ensure adequate supply of products.
• Analyze and present sales and profit year over year and year over/under plan, proactively developing strategic and executable plans to continue online and company growth.
• Lead the E-Commerce team, which includes site merchandisers and the marketing analyst.
• Be a model of integrity and performance internally.

Required Skills:

• Must have 10+ plus year’s experience working in E-Commerce Merchandising
• 5 year’s experience managing a team size of 15+
• Must be creative, trend forward, and operational astute (ability to define appealing and trend forward collections, make business and financial driven decisions regarding product placement, and ensure a continuously refreshed online shopping experience for our customers)
• Experience using Shopify or similar E-Commerce platform highly desired
• Must have experience managing others, providing both creative and technical direction, and working within a highly matrixed environment
