Marketing is and will continue to be a key driver for our business success. We are looking for a Director, Media Strategy to grow a team dedicated to executing an omni-channel media buying and partnership strategy. This individual will ensure we are driving the efficacy of our media investments, while balancing the needs to meet our CAC goals. This role will help develop a strategy and manage external vendors / partners that can help efficiently boost member adoption and acquisition. As a key member of the marketing team, we’re looking for an exceptional people leader who is passionate about our mission and customers and who builds strong internal relationships across the organization to deliver results.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute a high performing multi-channel customer acquisition strategy spanning performance marketing, direct response, brand partnerships, TV, radio, out of home, etc. 
  • Build valuable and accretive media relationships with leading digital and traditional media companies and establish third party relationships that build new audiences with strategic partners to drive value across our business
  • Develop frameworks for segmentation and attribution analysis on prospect members, aiming to acquire high-value prospects
  • Own media planning, budgeting and reporting and lead optimization for conversion and CAC
  • Oversee performance analytics and communicate performance to Leadership Team and stakeholders to promote a shared understanding of the multi-channel marketing strategy, ROI, and opportunities
  • Develop and negotiate new commercial agreements in partnership with key stakeholders across product, brand, creative/design, legal, technology teams
  • Keep abreast of the changing marketplace, emerging platforms, and business landscape proactively capitalizing on opportunities and managing threats
  • Partner closely with the Vice President, Marketing and peers to ensure marketing efforts are consistent and aligned with the brand and full funnel marketing strategy
  • Get your team excited about and committed to developing processes, metrics and ways of working to ensure the team is operating effectively both within the team and with partners across the organization
  • Prioritize hiring, developing, and mentoring the team to ensure we have the roles and skill sets that we need to support company goals; with a commitment to inclusivity, diversity and employee engagement

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of relevant marketing experience, with at least 5 years of people management experience
  • A proven track record of driving growth in a digital media and/or digital-first DTC brand/company through a multichannel approach
  • Strong analytical skills with deep understanding of relevant performance marketing KPIs and experience informing and developing reporting.
  • Experience building and scaling acquisition channels, managing technical tools and implementing testing programs
  • A proven ability to partner across the organization and provide thought leadership, strategy execution, and account/project management across internal and agency/partner teams.
  • Experience building and leading teams in a startup or high growth consumer facing environment
  • Track record of highly effective people leadership with a proven ability to build and retain high performing, engaged teams
  • Reputation and track record of building strong external and internal cross-functional partnerships 
  • Autonomous self-starter with strong critical thinking aptitude, hunger to learn, and adaptability to change.
