Job Summary: 

Reporting directly to the VP of Growth Marketing, this role will lead a team responsible for the day-to-day growth and management of paid search, display, paid social, and customer referral channels. This role will also serve as primary growth lead for the U.S. market.


This position requires in-depth knowledge of performance marketing platforms, and a proven track record of leveraging them to drive tangible business growth. The ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level is critical, along with collaborative skills to work across teams and departments on high level company goals.


Job Expectations: 

  • Lead and develop a high performing growth team. Provide proactive mentorship and training of team members, effectively communicate task execution and timeline requirements, provide strategic guidance and constructive feedback to aid growth and professional development in their core functional areas

  • Drive growth marketing strategy with internal teams and external partners, with the goal of increasing new customers and top line sales

  • Oversee successful execution of paid performance campaigns across search, social, app acquisition, display, affiliate, and customer & influencer referrals  

  • Work with teams to develop and evolve processes for ensuring latest best practices are followed in paid search, paid social and all other performance channels

  • Oversee performance tracking and media spend on a daily basis and drive decision making around budget allocations and forecasts.  Manage progress toward achievement of CAC & LTV targets and optimize campaigns for profitable unit economics

  • Manage relationships with marketing partners and vendors with an eye toward maximizing value from each platform and making most effective use of new features and product capabilities

  • Partner with internal creative and marketing ops teams to develop seasonal and promotional marketing campaigns that drive sales

  • Collaborate with product & tech teams to ensure the web site & apps are optimized for conversion of both new and existing customers

  • Support and collaborate with BI team in ongoing marketing campaign attribution refinement, including multi-channel funnels and model comparison

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

   Required:

  • Comprehensive expertise in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and affiliate & customer referral marketing

  • Advanced knowledge of analytics platforms, especially Google Analytics

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, drive change and collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals and teams

  • An effective communicator who knows how to inspire teams to do their best work and seek collaboration to drive toward common goals

  • Equipment Knowledge: 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

  • Experience with Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Business Manager, and Product Feed Management Platforms (Channeladvisor, etc.)

  • Work EnvironmentThe noise in the work environment is usually moderate.  Other factors are:

     

  • Hectic, fast-paced with multi-level distractions

  • Professional, yet casual work environment

  • Office / Warehouse environment

  • Ability to work extended hours as required

    Experience Requirements:

    Generally, requires a minimum of eight (8) years of performance digital advertising experience in ecommerce. Five (5) years of experience leading a team to drive growth in paid performance channels and/or five (5) years with Google Analytics or other analytics platforms.


    Education Requirements: 

    Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in marketing, business or math.


    Judgment/Reasoning AbilityAble to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy.  Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.

The Team Member is frequently required to sit, walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms.  Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day.  The Team Member may occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 25 pounds.  Proper lifting techniques required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
