About Role
The Director of Events will be responsible for creating and implementing experiential campaigns and event activations to promote Route to both public and private groups in an effort to drive brand awareness, acquire new users, while also keeping retention high for current users. Events may range from large scale public campaigns, intimate VIP events (celebrity, influencer, press, etc.), and other private company based events. This role will work closely with the broader creative and marketing teams to ensure all event initiatives support company wide goals. The Director of Events should demonstrate creative out of the box thinking, strong project management skills, and have a deep understanding on building an event roadmap and day-of event execution to evaluate the most effective and relevant opportunities to grow Route’s brand and positioning by curating events that meet and support broader brand objectives.
Route’s Director of Events should be self-motivated, with the ability to support multiple areas in marketing when needed. They should be a team-player, well communicative, and have a strong knowledge in working directly with PR agencies, vendors, creative, marketing, and executive teams.
Responsibilities
● Develop quarterly events strategy and events calendar to support broader brand initiatives.
● Determine quarterly events budget.
● Work with marketing team to secure brand partners for each event.
● Securing of event venues, vendors, and permits along with anything else that may be needed on an event by event basis.
● Develop assets needed for every event with help from creative team.
● Plan and Oversee all event logistics (set up & take down, production schedule, insurance, run of show, etc.)
● Recap for each event showcasing results, findings, and improvements to be made moving forward | Broader campaign based recap showing spend, ROI, and learnings.
● Hiring and Management of talent, labor, and anyone else representing Route onsite at an event.
● Work with accounting to ensure payment is sent to all necessary parties.
● Manage high profile relations ensuring all contract requirements are met and payment is fulfilled.
● Ensure knowledge of upcoming events is communicated to relevant teams / people (PR team, software, etc.)
● Vet event opportunities to ensure Route only participates in events that support broader brand objectives.
● Management of employees, agency relations, and contractors as needed to fulfill and grow the events team.
