About This Role

The Marketing team is responsible for establishing the Apeel brand on the national and global level. We are seeking a Director of Commercial Marketing in the EU who will develop and produce innovative commercial marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition, conversion, and loyalty across physical and digital channels. This person will develop and execute a strategy to establish Apeel’s B2B brand as the natural post-harvest solution among fresh food growers, distributors, and retailers across the EU. 
What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute Apeel’s multi-channel commercial marketing strategy in the EU, including managing retail shows, retail media relations, and grower/distributor events and relationships.
• Develop and execute category-specific marketing plans for Apeel’s produce, from establishing target objectives and strategies through driving new partnerships and commercial pilots.
• Create demand-generating campaigns and content (e.g., case studies, blog posts, newsletters, presentations, brochures, etc.) to attract and engage qualified partners.
• Foster Apeel’s relationships with commercial organizations and commodity boards and provide scientific insights and solutions to industry leaders.
• Map the customer journey and marketing funnel, and measure and communicate the ROI and revenue-driving value of B2B EU marketing programs.
• Evaluate research needs and conduct research to provide actionable insights to inform marketing strategy.
• Serve as a key stakeholder and liaison at the intersection of Apeel Sciences’ EU-based marketing, sales, product, and strategy teams.
• Keep a finger on the pulse of the industry, products, and new opportunities; serve as a leading agriculture and food branding industry expert within the organization.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of commercial marketing experience in a large-scale global organization, with CPG experience preferred (e.g. Nestle, Nivea, Wilkinson Sword).
• Fluency in English required, with additional fluency in EU languages preferred (e.g. Spanish, German, French, Dutch).
• Prior experience working with growers, packers, shippers, and/or retailers across Europe to roll out integrated and innovative marketing campaigns.
• Strategic, metrics-driven mindset and a passion for the art and science of marketing and its impact in driving reputation and sales.
• Proven experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively within organizations, especially across marketing disciplines.
• History of successfully shipping projects with independence, confidence, and ownership for deadlines and outcomes.
• Highly proficient in Salesforce, MailChimp, or other top marketing tools and services.
• Willingness to work full time out of Rotterdam, NL.
