Leaf Group is looking for a Corporate Communications Manager to help us with internal and external corporate communications from our Santa Monica, CA office (remote for now).

You’ll Report To: VP, Communications

A typical day as a Corporate Communications Manager might include:

  • Working closely with the People Team, DEI and brand leaders to coordinate regular cadence of internal communications
  • Managing corporate social media channels, including Instagram, and work with Recruitment and People Teams to regularly post news to sites like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.
  • Serving as a strategic partner to develop and prepare effective and thoughtful communications that educate, inform and connect with internal and external audiences.
  • Building relationships with writers and editors at media/ecommerce trade, finance and business media outlets
  • Identifying corporate stories and messaging and pitch newsworthy stories to business and finance media outlets
  • Managing corporate Intranet and developing regular content strategy
  • Tracking and monitoring coverage for our company and brands
  • Submitting the company and our leaders for awards, speaking opp’s, etc.

You’ll be successful if you are a detail-oriented hard worker who can think quickly on their feet. The ideal candidate can work independently in a fast-paced environment but also understands the importance of the team. 


What You Have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications (ideal candidate has both internal and external communications experience).
  • Experience working with multiple brands and/or stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating multiple communications documents including: FAQs, press releases, strategies, social media messaging, etc.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic public relations, marketing or communications programs and successfully execute upon them with measurable results.
  • Corporate communications experience at a publicly traded company (preferred).
  • Detail-oriented, creative communicator.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.
  • Strategic thinker who exhibits sound judgment and a high degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality.
